A leader in providing state-of-the-art surgical services, Northside Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of its newest facility, the Northside-Forsyth Outpatient Surgery Center, located near Northside Hospital-Forsyth, at 1055 Haw Creek Parkway in Cumming.  The facility, which offers outpatient surgical care across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, GI, ENT and podiatry, saw it’s first patient on June 18.

The Northside Hospital Healthcare System performs more than 40,000 surgical cases annually at its locations in Alpharetta, Atlanta, Canton, Cumming and Dunwoody.  In 2011, Metro Atlanta consumers ranked Northside number one in Outpatient Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery in the National Research Corporation’s annual Healthcare Market Guide.  The System is home to many of Atlanta’s finest surgeons, in a variety of specialties, and offers the latest technology available in health care today.

The beautiful new 14,175-square-foot Northside-Forsyth Outpatient Surgery Center features four spacious and state-of-the-art operating rooms, including one large suite dedicated to GI endoscopy procedures.  Easy access from Highway 20, a covered patient drop-off area and close-by parking add to the facility’s appeal.

“The Outpatient Surgery Center is managed by the same highly skilled and friendly staff for which Northside is known and who work hard to make every patient’s experience as pleasant as possible,” said Susan Spencer, RN, CNOR, manager of surgical services, Northside Hospital-Forsyth.  Approximately 16 new positions were filled in preparation of the facility’s opening.

Additional services, including imaging and pre-surgery testing, are available at nearby Northside Hospital-Forsyth.  The Center for Advanced Surgical Technology at Northside Hospital-Forsyth offers state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient surgical care across a full range of procedures including general, gynecological, orthopedic, prostate, vascular, ophthalmological, bariatric and urological surgeries.
